Abstract
Acute Pulmonary Thromboembolism (APTE) is a time-critical cardiovascular emergency resulting from thrombotic obstruction of the pulmonary arteries, frequently arising from deep vein thrombosis (DVT) of the lower limbs. Its estimated annual incidence ranges from 39 to 115 cases per 100,000 population, with a rising trend observed globally. It is associated with significant morbidity and mortality, particularly in cases that present with hemodynamic instability, right ventricular dysfunction, or respiratory compromise. Despite the availability of effective treatment, delayed diagnosis and underutilization of bedside modalities and thrombolytic therapy in eligible patients often result in preventable deaths. This study evaluates a multimodal integrated bedside approach for early diagnosis and management of APTE
