The Geometric Origin of Consciousness and Bio-Cosmic Coupling: A Quaternionic Spinor Resolution of the Shnoll Effect

Abstract
A growing body of anomalous data, from the globally synchronous Shnoll effect to instantaneous, solar-driven changes in human neurophysiology, challenges our understanding of causality and the relationship between mind and cosmos. These phenomena suggest a non-local, information-based coupling that conventional physics cannot explain. This paper posits a unified, geometric origin: a cosmic quaternionic spinor field Ψ whose phase τ(x) non-locally updates the probability structure of reality. Within this framework, torsion emerges as an algebraic, instantaneous signature of this update. It is likely that biological systems, specifically the chiral geometry of DNA and the liquid-crystalline order of the meridian system, function as evolved antennas for this cosmic geometry. Crucially, it is presented that this framework naturally extends to a theory of consciousness. The brain’s holonomic organization, particularly the neocortex, is analyzed as a phase-coherent interferometer for torsion, with EEG as a readout of this geometric interaction. The model resolves the conflict with relativity by distinguishing causal energy propagation from instantaneous, informational state updates in the global spinor phase. The central thesis is that consciousness is the experience of the cosmic spinor field through its localized, biological excitations which are fundamentally expressed through quantum phase relationships. This work transforms anomalous bio-cosmic correlations into the foundation for a physics of consciousness, where experience is modeled by complex phase dynamics within the spinor field.
