Background Acute intestinal obstruction remains a major surgical emergency, particularly in rural and resource-limited settings. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical profile, aetiology, management strategies, and outcomes of patients presenting with acute intestinal obstruction. Objectives of the study 1. To describe the clinical profile and aetiology of acute intestinal obstruction among patients visiting tertiary care hospital. 2. To describe the various treatment modalities for acute intestinal obstruction and postsurgical complications. Methods A prospective observational study was conducted at a tertiary care hospital, where patients presenting with clinical and radiological features of intestinal obstruction were evaluated. Data on demographics, comorbidities, clinical presentation, intraoperative findings, surgical interventions, and postoperative outcomes were systematically collected and analysed.
