A sophisticated and innovative system designed for the monitoring and tracking of school vans to enhance child safety. This proposed system is activated during emergencies, including accidents, breakdowns, and fire incidents, by promptly transmitting the location and images of the interior environment of the bus to both school authorities and parents. Images are acquired through a camera system, while location data is ascertained via a GPS module. Radio Frequency Identifier (RFID) tags are utilized for monitoring the quantity of students in transit. Additionally, a panic button and several other keys have been included to enhance security. The primary button is designated for emergency situations, while the secondary keys are intended for use when the vehicle becomes immobilized or experiences a breakdown. Upon the advancement of the Raspberry Pi, the system is designed to send an email alert to both parents and school management each time a key is pressed, accompanied by internal snapshots of the vehicle. Additionally, it is designed to regulate the vehicle's speed when it surpasses the average limit, thereby mitigating aggressive driving behaviors and decreasing the likelihood of accidents.
