This research conducted a seasonal and stational assessment of the diversity indices of macrobenthic groups by collecting samples from five stations along the Jajrood River during the fall and winter of 2014 and the spring and summer of 2015. The stations were geographically GPS-located. Assessments based on the Hilsenhoff family biotic index (HFBI), Shannon-Wiener index (SWI), Simpson's diversity index (SDI), and Margalef's richness index (MRI) revealed a total of 5 orders, 15 families, 17 genera, and 19 species of macrobenthos along the river. For Jajrood macrobenthos, the greatest (4.30) and lowest (0.12) HFBI values were obtained in spring and fall, respectively. Likewise, the greatest (2.01) and least (0.55) SWI values were attained in spring and winter, respectively. Similarly, the greatest (0.93) and least (0.07) SDI values were observed in summer and spring. Ultimately, the greatest (1.89) and least (0.19) MRI values were recorded in spring and winter, respectively.
