Background: In the context of increased crime, mass disasters and terrorism, the analysis of living individuals and/or body parts of the deceased is frequently required in the society. Estimation of stature is an important tool in Forensic examination in cases of unknown, highly decomposed, fragmented and mutilated human remains. Aims and objectives: The aim of present study is to calculate the Stature from Cephalic measurements in the deceased in the age group of 20 years to 60 years and derive linear regression equation which could prove useful to Forensic experts. Materials and methods: height of the diseased, Maximum Head Length, Maximum Head Breadth, Horizontal circumference of head and Head vault were measured in centimeters. Data was analyzed and linear regression equations were calculated for each of the parameters for both males and females separately. Conclusion: The mean values of Cephalic measurements were also higher in males than females. There was a significant correlation between Stature and different Cephalic measurements (p-value< 0.01) in case of both males and females. All the Cephalic measurements showed positively significant correlation with Stature. Maximum Head Length showed highest correlation with stature when both sexes combined together and when considered separately.
