Abstract

This article explores the use of OLE DB-based middleware as a reliable integration layer for synchronizing Infor Lawson with custom Java applications. In legacy enterprise environments where direct API access is limited or unavailable, OLE DB offers a stable mechanism for querying and updating Lawson’s backend tables securely. The article details technical strategies for using OLE DB drivers within Java environments via JDBC-ODBC bridges or middleware wrappers, enabling data synchronization across HR, finance, and payroll modules. Key topics include connection pooling, error handling, transaction control, and real-time sync triggers—offering architects a practical solution for bridging Lawson with modern application stacks.
