Abstract
The inquiry of structural, optical properties and morphological of nanostructured CuO and CuO: Mg films deposited by Chemical spray pyrolysis (CSP) method were studied. Structural properties were studied as pure and Mg dopant CuO at concentrations of 1 and 3%. The films were characterized by XRD to study film structure, XRD analysis confirmed the CuO nanostructure for all samples. The grain size for pure CuO showed an increased from 24.12 nm to 27.11 nm on doping, whereas the strain (%) parameter increased from 14.3 to 12.7.The morphological of the films were evaluated using Atomic Force microscopy (AFM). Optical transmittance value of CuO and CuO: Mg films reaches 80 % in the visible and NIR regions. Optical energy gap for CuO and CuO: Mg doping with 1% and 3% were 2.0 and 1.8 eV respectively.
