Abstract

Cervical cancer remains a significant public health issue globally, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) where organized screening and vaccination programs are still evolving. According to GLOBOCAN 2020, cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer among women worldwide, with an estimated 604,000 new cases and 342,000 deaths annually. In India alone, it accounts for approximately 18.3% of all female cancers, ranking second only to breast cancer in prevalence[1].
