GIS and sensors applications in renewable energy towards improved efficiency and cleaner environment
Dr. Nileema S. Chouhan
Abstract
Renewable energy is nowadays utilizing the smart grid, due to utility curtailments at the residential, commercial and industrial, and utility levels. After wind energy, now solar energy installations are a computer-based IoT. The information is integrated and analyzed to reduce losses, maximize power resources, minimize costs, increase system reliability, and enhance electric power efficiency. This paper highlights latest developments in implementing GPS and GIS tools and applications in energy sector in various parts of the world.
Keywords
Sensor-based technology and data science, efficiency and automation of wind farms and solar fields, remotely regulate and control tracking systems
