Functional Outcome in the Treatment of Supracondylar Humerus Fracture in Children: A Prospective Observational Study at a Tertiary Care Hospital

Abstract
Background
Supracondylar humerus fracture is the commonest fracture around the elbow in children and
displaced fractures need accurate reduction to prevent stiffness, malunion and carrying-angle
deformity. Closed reduction and percutaneous K-wire fixation is widely used, but the relative
functional recovery across fracture severity and fixation patterns remains clinically relevant
in tertiary-care settings.
