Formulation and Characterization of Diazepam - Gastroretantive Floating Drug Delivery System

Abstract
The present study was aimed at formulating and characterizing gastroretentive floating tablets of
diazepam to enhance its therapeutic efficacy through prolonged gastric retention and controlled
drug release. Diazepam, a BCS Class II drug, exhibits pH-dependent solubility with maximum
solubility in acidic pH, making it an ideal candidate for gastroretentive formulation
