Different Periodontal Approaches for Management of Palatogingival Groove – A Case Series

Abstract

Palatogingival groove is one of the developmental anomaly that is used to be common in the palatal aspect of maxillary anterior teeth. Because of its anatomical position and varying severity it may leads to periodontal and endodontic complications, which necessitate its early identification by clinicians. Based on the severity, the treatment options varies like simple scaling and root planning, radiculoplasty to complicated endodontic-periodontal management. This article is presented with three different scenarios and the varying periodontal approaches to manage the clinical condition.
