D-HOM: A Novel Approach Towards Multilayer Security for Cloud Storage Services
Dr. Manoj V. Bramhe
Abstract
Even after considering the well-known applications, advantages, extensibility of cloud storage service, security, reliability and consistency of stored data was always major topic of discussion among users and the researchers. Multiple solutions including encryption or the secure connection for data transfer were introduced and are utilized by several system and services. Security issues during implementation of encryption algorithms and the threat of malicious users at cloud service provider level is responsible for exploiting data. D-HOM (Distributed - Hidden Ownership Mechanism) is multi-layered secured distributed cloud storage service which allow user to split data in multiple clouds and replaced cloud storage file access methodology to hide data owner information may lead to virtually disappearing file identity to malicious users. D-HOM mainly deals with multiple file storage clouds to split the files in a way to recover data from other servers in case of failure of anyone. Along with maintaining the security, system aimed to prepare for better commercials values cloud storage are meant to be a commercial services. Proposed system addressed the said problem with novel solution named D-HOM.
