Abstract
Background Galeazzi fracture is characterized by a fracture of the radial shaft associated with disruption of the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ). Although open reduction and internal fixation of the radial fracture is the standard treatment, the role of additional DRUJ stabilization in improving postoperative functional outcomes remains controversial. This study was conducted to assess the role of DRUJ stabilization and its impact on functional outcomes in patients with Galeazzi fractures.
