Abstract

Background: Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Increasing evidence suggests that inflammation plays a crucial role in the initiation, progression, and clinical manifestations of acute coronary syndromes. Inflammatory biomarkers may provide valuable prognostic information in patients with AMI and aid in early risk stratification.
