Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a major global public health problem and an important risk factor for cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and renal diseases. Serum calcium and magnesium are essential electrolytes involved in vascular smooth muscle function, endothelial regulation, and blood pressure homeostasis. However, their association with hypertension severity remains inconclusive.
