Artificial Intelligence for Improving Employee Engagement in South Asian Banking Industry: A Systematic Literature Review
Saurabh Pathak, Bhawna Sharma
Abstract
The importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in today's world cannot be overstated. Many industries, including banking, are rapidly implementing AI to boost organisational productivity. Through a systematic literature review, this paper attempts to determine the relevance of AI in improving employee engagement in the banking sector and the current state of AI adoption in South Asian countries. The paper includes a detailed literature review of 51 research papers selected from the SCOPUS database out of 1021. The review's findings indicate that AI, through its various novel methods, has a significant impact on the improvement of employee engagement in the banking sector. The study connects the different types of AI to the employee engagement techniques identified in the review and discusses the various ethical considerations that must be made before implementing AI. South Asian countries continue to face technological and economic barriers to AI implementation, but the situation is expected to improve in the coming years.
