Effect of some fertilizing treatments and spraying of sulfur amino acids on some indicators of quantitative and qualitative yield of broccoli.

Abstract

The experiment was conducted for the autumn agricultural season (2021-2022) in one of the private fields in the Al- Azzawiya area - Al-Musayyab district, north of the centre of Babylon province. The experiment included three factors: The first factor: three hybrids of broccoli plant (F1 Polo, Jassmine F1 and Tokita 2004 F1) and the second factor: Fertilization treatments (control treatment (without fertilization) and humic spraying at average of 4 ml. L-1 and the addition of bacteria at an average of 25 g. plant-1 and the fertilizer combination humic + bacteria at the same levels of fertilizer mentioned) and the third factor: the spraying of sulfur amino acids compared (without fertilization) and (Methionine and Cystine at 150 mg.L-1), the experiment was coundected using a randomized complete block design according to the Split-Split Plot system and with three replications and the averages were compared. According to Duncan's Multiples Range Test, at a probability level of 0.05,The results indicate the superiority of Jassmine cultivar, the total yield of main and secondary curd 54.33 tons.ha-1 compared to the two cultivars Tokita 2004 and Polo, which recorded a significant decrease in most of the previous indicators, while the fertilizer combination (humic + bacteria) recorded a significantly excelled in the weight of the main curd 0.993 kg. Plant-1, the number of secondary curd is 4.07. The total yield was 53.52 tons.ha-1 and did not differ from Cystine in most of the production characteristics, while the control treatment recorded a decrease in these indicators, and the hybrid Tokita 2004 achieved significantly excelled in the percentage of solids in the main curd 12.34%, the percentage of carbohydrates in the main curd 7.552%,The percentage of protein in the main curd was 5.097%, compared to the two cultivars Jassmine and Polo, which decreased in these traits , while the fertilizer combination (humic + bacteria) recorded a significantly excelled in the percentage of soluble solids in the main curd 12.42%, the percentage of carbohydrates in the main curd was 7.565%, The protein content in the main curd was 4.752% compared to other fertilization treatments.As for the spraying treatment with the amino acid Methionine, it recorded a excel in the percentage of soluble solids in the main curd 12.27%, the percentage of carbohydrates in the main curd was 7.523%, the protein percentage in the main curd was 4.750%, compared to the cystine acid and the comparison treatment that recorded the lowest average for these traits , and the interactions were Bi and triple among the factors of the study have a significant effect on the quantitative and qualitative yield indicators.
