Comparison of the effect of adding bromelain enzyme and Butylated Hydroxy Toluene (BHT) to the diet on the biochemical blood traits for laying hens Lohmann brown

Abstract

This experiment was conducted at the poultry farm of the college of Agriculture, University of Al-Qasim Green the experimental field during twelve weeks from 1/ 9 / 2020 to 23/ 11/ 2020, the study was aimed to Comparison of the effect of adding bromelain enzyme and Butylated Hydroxy Toluene (BHT) to the diet on the biochemical blood traits for laying hens Lohmann brown. The experiment included 120 laying hens of Lohmann brown at the age of 50 weeks, the breeding period was divided into 3 experimental periods (52-55) weeks, (56-59) weeks and (60-63) weeks of the hens age . The feed was provided according to the standard requirements mentioned in the Lohmann Brown Layer Managements Guide and distributed randomly to 15 pen with 5 experimental treatments for each treatment of 24 birds. Each treatment included three replicates per 8 birds. Experience treatments were as follows: First treatment: control group free from any addition. The second treatment is a basic feed added to 1g enzyme Bromelain / kg feed, the third treatment is a basic feed added to 1.5g enzyme Bromelain / kg feed. The third treatment is a basic feed added to 1 g of BHT compound / kg feed and the fifth treatment is a basic feed added to 1.5 g of BHT compound / kg feed. The main results of the study are as follows: The bromelain enzyme supplementation treatments recorded a significant increase (p≤0.05) in the ratio of total protein concentration, globulin concentration, and decrease in albumin concentration. While there were not significant differences between all experimental treatments for the concentration of uric acid and the concentration of glucose.
