INSIGHT INTO THE ROLE OF NATURAL PRODUCT IN CHOLANGIOCARCINOMA: A REVIEW

Abstract

A particularly deadly cancer that develops in the biliary system is cholangiocarcinoma. Surgery, radiation, locoregional therapy, and targeted therapies are inadequate treatments for cholangiocarcinoma (CCA). Alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids, and other natural products have become more important in the treatment of cholangiocarcinoma since they have been found to be more powerful and efficient against cholangiocarcinoma cell lines. They encourage apoptosis in cholangiocarcinoma cell lines and limit cell growth, migration, and invasion.
