Abstract
To see the Effect of Giving Pumpkin Seed Biscuits (C. Moschata D.) on Underweight and Stunting Toddlers Age 12-59 Months in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi. This study is a quasi-experimental with the intervention of giving pumpkin seeds biscuits to changes in nutritional status in underweight and stunting toddlers, the intervention was carried out for two months, the variables measured in this study were family characteristics, household characteristics, morbidity and nutritional status of toddlers, collection The data used a questionnaire and the measurement of weight and height to see the nutritional status based on the child's Z-score. Data analysis used Chi- Square, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann-Whitney Test. Subjects in the study were underweight children under five, generally mothers under five had low education 58.9%, father education was low 54.44%, mothers did not work 80%, and fathers work as farmers 53.33%, , the difference in weight difference test in the intervention group increased by 0.93 kg and 0.67 kg in the control group, the variable height of the intervention group was 0.10 cm and the control group was 0.11 cm. The results of the bivariate analysis of the characteristics of the two groups showed that the baseline data were homogeneous (P > 0.05), the characteristics of the tribal variables were different (P = 0.004). The intervention of providing additional food with pumpkin seed biscuits was significant for the weight gain of underweight toddlers and stunting toddlers' height.
